Botanical Gardens

This last weekend we were able to go to Norfolk's botanical garden with Andrews parents. It was beautiful! The weather was perfect! We took tons of pictures

We started off our trip with a boat ride that gave us a tour of the garden. Hunter fell asleep half way through.

Hunter worked on sitting up all by himself!

We took tons of family pictures

It was absolutely beautiful!

Virginia Beach

I've missed a lot since I've been neglecting my blog so I'm going to go back in time a little. On January 25 Andrew left for boot camp. We went down to Ft Meade with Andrews parents to say farewell.

8 1/2 weeks later we flew up to Great Lakes IL with Andrews parents and sister for his graduation. It was the longest eight weeks of my life but it was definitely worth it.

We were able to spend the day with Andrew until he was flown down to Virginia Beach to start school. Two weeks later Hunter and I came down to visit. It was supposed to only be a four hour drive but with traffic and was closer to a six. We weren't able to do much since Andrew had duty on Sunday but it was still nice to go down there.

The beach is beautiful!

We took Hunter to Bass Pro for the first time.

We went down again two weeks after that for Easter.

We dyed eggs in the hotel room!

We visited the Easter bunny at Bass Pro

And we ate at Joe's Crab Shack

Two weeks after that we moved down here! We have an apartment about 20 minutes from base and yesterday Andrews chief gave him permission to live with me! We have had a lot to go through since half of our stuff was in storage for the last year and a half. It was a mess! We moved down here just in time to spend mothers day as a family!

We also went to a Third Eye Blind concert

And spent the day at the beach!

Introducing Hunter Alexander Flores!!.....Finally

I was scheduled to get induced on January 14th but instead I woke up at 5 in the morning on Jan 7th having contractions. They got worse throughout the day so at midnight we decided to head the the hospital. After being there till 3am they sent us home saying I had a few more days till I'd be ready. I couldn't imagine having these contractions for a few more days. So we went home and didn't tell anyone I was in labor because if it was still going to take awhile I didn't want our families worrying about it. I didn't think it was possible for the pain to get worse but it did so at midnight Saturday I made Andrew turn off COD Modern Warfare and we headed to the hospital again. Once we got there the nurse said my contractions were not regular enough and she made me walk the halls in hope that it would help speed the whole process along. I don't know if it did but it was the most painful walk I have ever taken. When I got back my contractions were pretty much the same. She said I would still have a few more days, it was very discouraging. There's no way I could have gone through that for another day. But she called the doctor and she said to admit me. Right away she gave me a shot in my hip for the pain and I told her I wanted an epidural as soon as possible. Four hours later it was 8am and the daytime nurse came in and finally gave me the epidural, the overnight nurse had forgotten about me. Once I got that I passed out. I was so tired!! I hadn't slept since Thursday night and that was for only 4 hours. After the epidural everything went along smoothly. I stared pushing at 12:20pm and at 12:37pm on January 9th we had our precious little baby boy.

I had thought it was going to be a girl, obviously I wrong and Andrew was right. But that meant I didn't have a name picked out. So we just called him Boy. He was a big boy! 9lbs 1oz and 20in long. That explains why I was so huge! Once we got settled we sent out a text message to all of our family and friends telling them our good news.

Andrew was able to go back with the nurses while they bathed our baby and got him all checked out. I was jealous because I could hardly move. But we got lots of fun pictures of him crying through the whole process. Once we got to our room we had some family come visit but all our baby would do was sleep and we were okay with that.

We had decided that once our baby was one day old we had to have a name for him. So at 12:37 we finally decided on Hunter Alexander Flores!

After being there for 2 days we were allowed to go home!

We stopped at Taco Bell on the way home!!

Finally Home!!!

Baby Gear

We've been keeping an eye out for sales on baby things and buying them as we see them that way we won't be buying everything in January. These are just a couple things we've bought so far at really great prices. I can't wait for a place to put everything and a baby to put in it.

Quilt

My friend had her baby shower this afternoon and I made her this quilt. It was my first time doing a real binding and it turned out really nice, it just took forever. The power was out at home so I had to go to Andrews parents house to finish it so I ended up staying up till 5 in the morning working on it and then woke up at 10 and worked on it till I left, but it was definitely worth it. These pictures were taken my cellphone but its all I had before I wrapped it up to give to her.

Martinsburg Air Show

My brother Mike and his family invited Andrew and I to the Martinsburg Air Show and since we have been trying to find fun things to do before the baby's born that will fit into our crazy work schedules we decided to go. It was very hot and sunny, you could hardly see the airplanes but it was still fun.

We bought some fresh kettle corn and Aiden almost devoured the whole himself.

The tires on this truck were taller then Ivy!

21 Weeks

We had an ultrasound done on monday! We were given the opportunity to find out the gender but we turned it down. So we are definitely going to make it a suprise!!! Its exciting not knowing and guessing differently everyday. The baby has been kicking alot. We felt the baby kick for the first time last tuesday. It was sooo exciting especially since Andrew was able to feel it too.

My belly is getting so big so fast.
I love buying new clothes!!
