Virginia Aquarium

We only have a few weekends left here in Virginia Beach so we decided to go out and have some fun this last weekend. Andrew had the day off school yesterday for Columbus Day so we went over to the Virginia Aquarium. We had a lot of fun!

We started our day off with some small sea turtles.

Then we went outside on a nature walk

Hunter loved the water!

The weather was absolutely perfect.

After our walk we went back inside and saw some more turtles and small fish.

I don't have any idea what this guy is called but he was really big.

And they're from Flores Island!

Then we crawled through a tunnel...

And got another view of the animals.

We got to see other cool lizard type things.

After the lizards we were able to touch horseshoe crabs, really large snails, starfish, and crabs.

And some sting rays!! How cool is that!

Hunter got a nice view of them.

All the bright colors were so much fun!

These turtles were HUGE!

They were so fun to look at.

These guys were pretty cool too.

Then we got to see some sharks!

Hunter loved standing against he glass and watching them swim.

We were able to go see a bunch of different kinds of birds.

By the end of the day Hunter was exhausted!

Popsicles are the best!

Hunter always begs for some of my popsicle so I finally gave in....

Although you can't tell from his face he loved it!

8 Months!

We have had a very eventful month for Hunter. He has learned so much and grown like crazy!

First off he started crawling!!! This was when he first started but now he moves much faster.




The bracelet you can sort of see in the background is his favorite toy. He absolutely loves it!

He learned how to turn pages in a book.



Hunter climbs over everything. This time I ran to the bathroom for a second I came back out and he was stuck in the basket. I thought it was funny but he didn't enjoy it very much. He loves to climb over anything on the floor especially pillow, blankets, and people.



This is his favorite place to sit. He loves sitting under there and watching TV. He loves sitting under anything possible especially the desk or chairs...pretty much anything he can get under.

This time he decided to climb under our bed and got stuck.

He met his Aunt and Cousins from Hawaii for the first time.


Hunter got to watch fireworks for the first time! He loved them!



Hunter loves to put things in his mouth and crawl around like a little puppy dog. This time he was doing it in the bath tub and splashing his hands in the water.

We went to the pool for the last time this summer :(

Hunter learned how to sit up and bed and stand against the railing so we lowered the mattress all the way down.

We went to the freedom fest and Hunter got to play with lots of large trucks.

Other things about Hunter
His favorite animal is Pandas. Every time he sees one he gets so excited.
He has started taking some formula in a sippy cup.
He got a bigger car seat.
If we ever forget to close the bathroom door he bolts there as soon as we turn our backs.
He loves finger foods.
He says dada all the time.
He loves watching pictures or videos of himself on the computer all the time.
He loves puppets.
He loves making a mess with baby food.
He loves to watch TV.
He's down to two naps a day.

First Tooth!

Hunter got his first tooth on August 25 and I finally felt his second one this afternoon. We have had two crazy weeks of crying. It has been tough....



You can only see one in this picture but you sure can feel the other.

Beach Photo Day

Seven months....

I know this is a little late but Hunter is 7 months old! We really haven't done much this month but here's just a little of what's been happening.

No more tummy mat. He just pulls it over. And as you can see on the floor, he's using a sippy cup now. Although he doesn't get much out yet.

He take baths in the tub all by himself. He loves it! He cant sit here for a half hour more.

We went to the cheesecake factory for dinner for my birthday. It was so much fun!

Hunter got to ride in Daddy's backpack.

He got shots at the doctors. This was the before picture. He was 17 1/2 lbs and 27 1/2 in.

My brother and his family stopped by to visit on the way to the Outer Banks.

And Hunter and I went down there to visit them and we went to the aquarium.

Other things Hunters learned this month...
He makes all sorts of sound including mamama and dadada
He sort of crawls, he can only go backwards and in circles though.
He loves to pinch, hit, and bite.
He is eating some finger foods now... they are very messy.
He loves when we sing songs like the itsy bitsy spider and patty-cake.
He stopped sleeping through the night again, seems to change every week.
He's in size 3 diapers.
He loves hugs and kisses.
He's started sleeping on his belly all the time.
He loves watching TV.
He sits up in the shopping cart.
He no longer needs his paci all the time.
He has his own cell phone which he loves.
He loves Andrews cowboy hat.
He's a big flirt.

First Bites

We started Hunter on solid a few weeks ago and he has been doing great!

He did awesome! He managed to get more on him then in him but that's ok! Somehow I forgot to put a bib on him...

This was the second day of solids.
He is soooo cute!

This was the third day. It did not goes as well. I put formula in with his cereal. It was the first time he had formula since he was 2 months old. He did not like it at all and would not eat any of it.

He was happy once I gave up.

So we decided to give up on the cereal and start sweet potatoes and he loves them!! He ate the whole entire tub the first time he tried them.

Now this is what happens when we try to eat and don't feed him too.
