Hunter is FIVE months old already!!! Time is flying by!
This is what Hunters been up to...
On June 14th Hunter went to the doctor for his check up. He was 16 1/2 lbs and 26 in. long. The doctor said he's only in the 50th percentile which surprised me since he's so chubby. He got two shots in his thighs. He only cried for a few seconds after the second shot. Then we went home and he slept for a few hours which was great. The next day he was a little grouchy though we ended up running to CVS for some baby tylenol.
Hunter loves reading books! He loves this book the most because it's a touch and feel book. He likes grabbing the duck fuzz and petting the lamb the most.
On days that Andrew gets out of school before it gets dark outside we go on walks around the neighborhood. Normally Andrew carries him but I wanted to give it a try one time. The last time I carried him in the front pack he was maybe 11lbs and the 5lbs he gained since then really made a difference. I was worn out by the end of our walk. So carrying him is going to be Andrews job from now on. We started going on walks because around 6 or 7 Hunter gets really grouchy because its so close to bed time and going on walks calms him down. Usually by the end of our walks he is passed out.
He did not like us taking this picture!! But he has no teeth yet. The doctor said she didn't even feel any starting even though he drools like crazy. I'm okay with that I am not looking forward to the teething phase. I still check his mouth everyday though.
Hunter loves to chew on pretty much everything especially tags, towels, and socks (clean ones of course). So I made him this blanket with fleece, flannel, and ribbon. He loves it! It keeps him distracted while we're out shopping.
Hunter also love to grab his feet. Whenever I lie him down it's one of the first things he does.
I thought Hunter loved taking baths but he absolutely LOVES showers! He loves when the water runs on his face. The first time we gave him a shower was when we got back from the beach and we wanted to get all the sand off. Now we give him showers more frequently because he poops all through his outfit and it ends up all over his back, arms, and legs and I can't think of another way to get him clean.
Other things he's been doing..
Rolling over both front to back and back to front
Putting his pacifier back in his own mouth
Glaring at me when he gets upset
Trying to help me use my laptop by pushing buttons
Loves grabbing on to everything especially hair
Loves playing peek-a-boo
Loves being tickled
Loves watching people eat. It fascinates him
Working on sitting up by himself... he's getting pretty good
